Painted porcelain plate figuring a fisherwoman near a lake in the middle of nature. She holds a fishing rod under her arm and tries to hung an insect on the hook. She wears a pink, orange and white dresse and a white cloth on her shoulders. She wears a bun. Her shoes are put next to her on rocks and a basket is put in front of her.

Signed “G. Escargueil” on the left bottom.

Gilt wood frame with motifs of beads frieze and rolled ribbon.
