"Beautiful Earthenware Stoup 18th Century , From The South West, Martres Tolosane Manufactory"
Beautiful earthenware eighteenth century stoup; it is on board bypassed the base has a receptacle with sides whose base forms projections, the upper edge flared. It is surmounted by a motif of Christ on the cross centered in full height enhanced with yellow ocher and manganese polychromy; the base of the cross is decorated on both sides with sheaves of ocher foliage.
The cut-out periphery follows the shapes of the different parts of the object, its border is underlined by a large cobalt blue net. The raw back of the earth has no glaze, it is a very beautiful religious object of character.
It is in very good condition (just to report small use chips, but nothing annoying).
