Sepia ink seen from Constantine, this drawing on paper is attributed to Prince Louis of Orleans Duke of Nemours. It was given after the capture of Constantine in 1837 to General Camille Trézel who participated at the expedition.
Prince Louis D'Orléans, like his brothers and sisters, had been trained in drawing by the painter Eugéne Lami.
