Beautiful engraving representing a typical Dutch interior, sold framed. This engraving is signed Jules Benoit Levy Hollande 1904, in the plate at the bottom right. It is countersigned in its lower margin, lower left by the painter Jules Benoit Levy and lower right by the engraver Edmond Jules Pennequin. Pennequin Edmond Jules: French engraver, chisel and etching work, was born in Lille, he was a pupil of Léon Bonnet (1833-1922) and Jules Jacquet (1841-1913). He started at the 1898 salon and collaborated on artistic journals. Jules Beboit Levy: Painter, engraver and illustrator, born February 27, 1866 in Paris and died March 14, 1952 in Nogent sur Marne. He received a medal in 1895, an honorable mention in 1901 and a last in 1911.
