Nice animated landscape of the Belgian painter Auguste BÖHM (1819-1891) signed and dated 1846 lower right, in a nice wooden frame and gilded stucco. "Francois Ignace Augustin dit Auguste Böhm, born October 11, 1819 in Ypres and died in the same city on August 26, 1891, is a Belgian landscape painter and draftsman. After coming to study painting in Paris in the studio of Jules Coignet , Auguste Böhm was director of the drawing academy of Ypres, his native city which was also the main source of inspiration for his work.Specialized in landscape and architectural scenes, this artist whose style was associated with school romantic exhibited in particular at the Brussels painting salon. The Belgian state rewarded his artistic notoriety by granting him the Order of Leopold (knight of ...) "He worked in Paris from 1852 to 1857 then from 1861 to 1868.
