"Bembe Fetish"
Pretty male Bembe figure in hard wood with beautiful ocher patina. In a classical style, she stands upright, her hands holding bells, her eyes encrusted with small fragments of earthenware. Beautiful network of scarifications on the torso. Presence of a hole in the back to contain a magic charge. Note a break glued to the right arm (see photos). Period early 20th century. Bembe culture. Democratic Republic of Congo .
