ZAHLMEISTER OFFICER'S POINT HELMET, PAYING OFFICER, model 1895. Bomb in black patent leather, visor strapping and all silver metal fittings. State plate representing the crowned Prussian eagle with outstretched wings, holding in its talons the symbols of power, carrying on the chest a banner with the motto 'MIT GOTT FÜR KOENIG UND VATERLAND' (with God for the King and Fatherland ), the monogram 'FR' and an overloaded golden eagle. Land-Kokarde model specific to officers with national and state colors, serrated. Chin straps composed of silver copper scales cut alternately from two or three festoons, decreasing in width. Scales fixed by crampons in wire, flattened on a leather core lined with a black sheepskin. Left chinstrap fitted at its end with a small tenon to fix the other chinstrap in which a hollow notch was made. Bomb topped with a point fixed on a round base held by four golden rivets in the shape of a star. Headdress interior composed of a fine leather band and two pieces of silk covering the entire headdress. Very good state.
