"French Carriage Style Clock In Shape Of Inkstand"
Two female figures, with Hellenistic styling, adorn the top of the case and hold up the cup in which it is possible to leave the dust used to dry the ink. On the sides, surrounded by vegetable scrolls, there are faceted glass containers for inks. On the front, with a shape reminiscent of the valve of a shell, there is the shelf to place the goose or the fountain pen.
Case: is in splendid aesthetic conditions with a beautiful and lovely gilding. The enamel dial has a hairline at one of the upper corners, but the same is partially hidden by the door.
Movement: is overhauled and working both the time and the chime. The balance platform with cylinder escapement is coeval with the clock but it isn’t its original.
