Virgin And Child XVIIth Century Polychrome Wood
Superb and rare virgin to the Spanish child in polychrome wood, 17th century. It rests on a square molded base painted red, yellow and green. She wears a drape which she holds in her right hand while with her left hand she supports the baby Jesus holding in her hand a dove. The virgin is wearing a crown and the whole is covered with an old red, golden green polychromy. Work of good quality in a good original state of conservation with a beautiful work of the drapery.
