"Jewelry Box Fixed Under Glass Hotel De Ville De Paris XIXth Century"
It is mounted on brass, thick bevelled glasses with its cover coated with the representation of the City Hall of Paris before its fire which took place in 1871 by the Communards. The interior is lined with a padded silk cushion which was intended to accommodate rings and other jewelry. Condition: good, given its age and fragility except the silk pad which is flared (see photos).
