"Groupe En Bronze Par Paul Moreau-Vauthier"
Early 20th century bronze group (circa 1910) signed by Paul Moreau-Vauthier, sculptor born in Paris in 1871. Allegorical scene depicting a man riding a winged horse (Pegasus) held by a female creature from Earth (symbol of universal attraction). An inscription in tribute to the pioneers of aviation appears on the basis: "The man by the aid of his aeroplane overcomes the attraction of the earth". Original patina, brand and stamp of the founder Susse brothers Paris, beautiful state of presentation. The marble base is not included in the dimensions indicated.
