Marcel Clément exhibited since 1903 at the Société Nationale des Beaux Arts and at the Salon des Indépendants; His views of Paris, seascapes or landscapes are treated with a firm touch and dark values in the details contrasting with the fuzzy atmosphere of gray-blue reflections, a great simplification of forms, bare and abstract surfaces summarized in a few shots, volumes with voluntary outlines, no concessions to the anecdote and to the facility.
The landscape with the tree which we present is modern of invoice with a concern for simplification and an interesting stylization, with a beautiful effect of light.
