Portrait of a young boy with his sister holding a book in his hand.
Oil on paper, signed lower right "Finck" and dated 1834.
In its beautiful original frame in gilded wood in Louis-Philippe style (restored by our gilder).
Good condition.
H. 32 x L. 24 cm (at sight).

Biography
Listed by Schildof as miniature painter for his watercolor portraits, Finck is a portrait painter who worked mainly with oil, like our painting.
Pupil of Anne-Louis Girodet at the École des Beaux-Arts where he entered July 6, 1818, he exhibited at the Salon from 1833 to 1864.
