"Box Jewelery Box Fixed Under Glass Le Palais Du Trocadéro Souvenir From Paris 1878 XIX"
Rectangular in shape, it is mounted on thick bevelled glass walls; their lid decorated with a fixed under glass with the representation of the Palais du Trocadéro before its demolition which took place in 1936 to make way for the current Palais de Chaillot. This small box was created for the Universal Exhibition which took place in Paris in 1878 and for which the Palais du Trocadéro was erected. The interior is lined with a padded silk cushion to accommodate rings and other jewelry. This box is old and used; it therefore has traces of use in accordance with its use, the cushion silk is flared (see photos).
