In medieval Jewish, Islamic and Christian legends, the seal of Solomon was a magic ring that the king of Israel Solomon (Sulaymân, taken in the Islamic version) was supposed to have possessed, and which gave him simultaneously the power to control the demons , the Efrits and the geniuses (jinn) or talking with animals. In later versions, what is now called the Star of David (or hexagram), is done with the two intertwined triangles.
The Temple of Jerusalem (in hebrew Beit ha-Mikdash, "Holy House", later equivalent to the arabic term for Bayt al-Maqdis, "House of the Shrine") is, according to the Bible, the religious building constructed by the israelites for house the Ark of the Covenant. It was destroyed by the babylonian army and rebuilt 70 years later with the help of Ezra (from biblical accounts), only to be destroyed again by Rome.
