"Silver Coffee Maker, Sedan, 1784, Goldsmith Cathérine Millet"
Large coffee pot with side handle, hallmarked by silversmith Catherine Millet, widow of Lambert Lucas. It was active in 1778 and 1787. Her master Mark is clearly legible on the bottom of the coffeepot , two other hall marks are more erased but still decipherable. It is the charge mark of the generality of Metz (an M in ´ronde ´) and a wild boar face accompanied by the vintage. It has exactly the same feet as another Catherine Millet coffee maker sold at Couteau-Begarie on 02/27/98.
