Marco Behar (born In 1898) Painting Oil On Isorel Paris Le Parc Des Buttes Chaumont

Beautiful oil on hardboard which represents the paths, under the sun, of a large Parisian park probably that of the Buttes Chaumont that the artist particularly liked, himself living in the 19th arrondissement (see my other table currently on sale in my gallery on This site ). Very nice color treatment for this oil on shimmering hardboard which shows great talent as a colorist. Dimensions: 59.7 cm X 49.5 cm (dimensions close to the standard size 12 F = 61 cm x 50 cm) Unsigned. Very good state. Known for having devoted most of his life to comedy and vaudeville, he then, for almost 30 years, continued his acting life as a resident of the Comédie Française. At the end of the 1940s, he started to paint, with an undeniable talent. He brushed with great vivacity both in the touch and in the color of urban landscapes, Paris and its surroundings but also grandiose natural landscapes (such as Gavarnie or Moustier Sainte-Marie). His workshop background, which contained most of his work, was dispersed a few years ago. Many other objects to discover in my stand of the Salons in which I participate.
