Titled "Coriolan Coriolanus". The legend says: "Women by their tears and prayers save the city that men with weapons could not defend". Translation by Vigenere of the text of Tite-Live written on the left in Latin. It is specified: "Drawn and engraved in 1723 after the painting by de la Fosse, six feet 11 inches high by 9 feet 1 inch by H. Simon Thomassin son and sold at the author's home in the Bibliothèque du Roy". Good impression, well contrasted, good condition except for small tears on the edge in the upper part; original bubble glass.
