"Engraving Frederick Ii"
Original etching engraved by P.Baquoy (Pierre Charles - 1759 - 1829) French draftsman and engraver after a painting by Monsiau (Nicolas André 1754 - 1837) history painter, draftsman, illustrator. Titled "Frédéric et Voltaire". The legend says: "Voltaire retired to Postdam (sic) in the Palace of the King of Prussia is overwhelmed with honors and benefits without any other subjugation than spending a few hours with the King to correct his works and teach him the secrets of l 'art of writing ". Nice print, well contrasted, redness and spots on the margin, no tears; original assembly, beautiful bubble glass and very beautiful key frame from the Empire period in gilded wood and black patina with rich ornamentation of the time.
