Beautiful pair of armchairs Louis XVI cabriolet. Beautiful sculpture of quality with knots and frieze of large pearls. Fluted front legs and rudentés. A chair is stamped D. JULIENNE and another stamp, the second bears a handwritten inscription. The chair has stamped the node of the bottom rail truncated, the second receives an iron paw behind an armrest. The tapestry trim is in good condition, the tissue is trimmed. Louis XVI about 1775. Delivery to be agreed together, free once a month in Paris and Bordeaux. * Denis Julienne master in 1775 was related probably to another denys Julienne had been tapestry of Louis XIV and the Duke of Burgundy in the early eighteenth century. He was one of the suppliers of the Marquis de Paulmy, governor of the Arsenal, and, through the Presle brothers, upholsterers in vogue, competed in furnishing the Marquis de Girardin. His house still existed in 1805. One has pleasant productions on her face which his stamp, the classic Louis XVI chairs, soberly decorated with moldings and a few carved patterns. Sculptors Nicolas Poiron and a Haguette sometimes countersigned his works.
