"Grand Pastel XIXth Town On The Built Bridge"
Large 19th century pastel depicting a city with a built bridge. We see in the foreground characters on the edge of a river passing under a bridge where there are half-timbered dwellings. In the background is a cathedral in a light mist. This watercolor has kept all its original colors, vivid and bright, the details are clear and the atmosphere of this table warm. We can imagine a village in eastern France but also in Holland where we find identical bridges. Presented in a wooden frame and old gilded stucco, signed and dated lower left Thérèse 1845. Quality work in very good original condition.
