"Rare French Golden Leather Baroque Louis XIV Wall Hanging Lyon Deco Cordoba 8m2 Textile"
Extremely rare wall hanging around 1720, in embossed / gilded and painted leather, with large French decor from the Rhone valley, composed of scrolls, scrolls, motifs of floral representations, birds perched on scrolls adorned with braces, inside which is a flower with four petals, the bottom dotted with fine granulations. The basic decorative motif is made up of two panels, one being the replica of the other which makes the decor quite spectacular. Our hanging needs to be restored: various wear, holes, gaps, see photos. Each panel measures approximately 60 cm x 50 cm, the total size is approximately 8m2, other HD photos available on request. The decorative golden wall leathers appeared in Courdoue from the 1st millennium, they were popularized in Europe from the 17th century and composed of 6 superimposed strata. Total dimensions: 8m2
