Authentic oval shoulder harness from the Garde Champêtre of Saint Gilles du Gard 10km from our village, The town, which owes its name to the famous abbot Gilles l'Ermite whose tomb it keeps (superb location), was one of the most important places pilgrimage of Christianity in the 12th century.
The plate is marked with needle, RF, La Loi, and two olive branches, cultures of St Gilles, with the vine, of course ....
