England Minton Holland Decor, Important Pans Terrine And Its Sleeping Tray, Decorated In Bistre Tones Shades, Circa 1880

England, Minton, circa 1880; "Holland" service.
Important and beautiful terrine or tureen in octagonal shape with cut sides decorated in bistre shades.

Soup tureen or terrine: Long. max. 35 cm / width. max. 21.3 cm / max height 22 cm
On the wing, the plateau is decorated with arches forming reserves with decor vases, bowls or oil lamps surrounded by interlacing and interspersed with acanthus leaves in reserve on a black background.
The dormant tray centered with a gorgonian head on a radiant oval pattern background framed and / or surrounded by nets, and outer stripe with oval stripes. The background of the decoration imprints the aesthetic characteristics of the Italian Renaissance decor known as "Grotesque" with interlacing of foliage, antique vase and various attributes.
On the lid, the shaped part presents four medallions imitating an antique cameo arranged in a fall hanging from leafy garlands alternating with knots and lambrequins.
The button is embossed with an oval floral motif, it is framed by a braid in an octagonal reserve with patterns of acanthus leaves and shells; the outer edge underlined with nets and a cord. The body is adorned with a large band forming an alternation of reserves with motifs of flowery trellises, vases, bowls or oil lamps and interlacing of flowers and foliage; a garland highlights this decor.
You will notice that the side sockets are also decorated in relief and on the reverse, decorated with ribbon knots and falling medallions.
Very good condition ; it is just to signal a hair of about 7 cm on the edge of the tray (at one end) really very visible and glued by a professional the place is not weakened (see on this subject the last photo).
