Elegant Trumeau, made in Piedmont, north of Italy, in the 18th century.
This piece of furniture in solid walnut wood, with a blond colour, has a double-body structure. The upper part ends with a slightly curved rib carved in a double frame. It consists of two large doors decorated with fine inlays that create frames and geometric elements. Inside a large room is divided by three shelves. The lower part has a flap, which opens, rests on sliding wooden elements. Inside there are 5 drawers and a small open compartment. Below the cabinet is equipped with three large drawers. The band below, with the line moved on the three sides, joins the feet, which at the front are also sculpted with a slight movement.
The handles, knobs and locks are in gilded and chiselled bronze.
The cabinet presents a balanced and elegant line characteristic of the transition between the styles Louis XV and Louis XVI. The colour of the blond walnut makes it refined in any environment, able to adapt next to antique and modern furnishings, easily inserted in an entrance hall or a study, but also in a living room or bedroom.
