Banksy - Di Faced Tenner - Certificate Of Authenticity

Famous for its stencils and installations, BANKSY has created counterfeit 10-pound notes, called "Di faced tenner", where Lady Di's face takes the place of that of the Queen Mother (also marked "Banksy of England").

These bills, originally distributed free of charge to the crowd at the Notting Hill Carnival and the Reading Festival in 2004, are today emblematic of BANKSY's work.

The British Museum has in its collections a bill identical to the one we offer for sale.

Alas, the works of BANKSY being extremely sought after, we deplore an incalculable number of fakes which invade the market, like stencils on traffic signs or on cardboard, such as those coming from Dismaland, its ephemeral amusement park. These stencils are NOT by BANKSY and regularly sell for several thousand euros ... The dream sells ...

As for these notes, the observation is edifying: 90% of "Di faced tenner" sold on internet or in auction houses are ... fakes !! These are printed copies from "real" bills, very easy to produce ... often sold at cheap prices !

It is impossible, without high resolution photos and visual examination carried out by means of strong enlargements, to distinguish the copies from the originals.

The banknotes produced by BANKSY were produced in high-quality offset printing on special paper. The patterns are made up of multicolored rosettes that cover the entire surface.
The copies lose significantly in definition.

This artwork represents the ONLY work of BANKSY still offered at an affordable price.

Not only we have examined it and can guarantee its authenticity, but in addition, a letter from Steve LAZARIDES (former BANKSY agent) will be given to the purchaser. This letter specifies the authenticity of the bill, which comes from the collection of Steve LAZARIDES.

The bank note measures approximately 7 x 14 cms, in perfect condition (the crumpled appearance is due to the printing, the paper is completely smooth and flawless)
