Antique Black Forest finely carved Bull inscribed G. STAEHLI, size 19 x 6 ½ x 13 ¼ inches height (circa 1880)
The excellently grained walnut used in carving has acquired a great patina: the naturalistically carved elliptical form bases support a Bull, executed with considerable skill in the anatomical details, and with sharply defined musculature. Brienz (Circa 1870)
