"Regency Period Rosewood Veneer Box"
Regency period box signed Got à Moulins in rosewood veneer, fittings, spandrels and ornate steel rods. The slightly domed cover, fitted with a movable handle, carries a cartridge decorated with acanthus leaves stamped with a ducal crown. The plate, also surmounted by a ducal crown and decorated with acanthus leaves, is embellished with a finely chiseled floral ribbon. The lock with "heart" and double hasp is unlocked thanks to its key. Activated on the right then on the left, it releases the pinnae one after the other. The interior is dressed in moiré silk and a silver braid. It rests on four small feet. 18th century work.
