Very beautiful watercolor of substantial size signed by François Roux and dated 1841.This format of 84 x 58 cm / 100 x 74 cm (framed) is spectacular for a work of this corpus. In addition to its graphic finesse, with a movement of sumptuous waves, these large formats are unusual and extremely rare on the market (out of 164 works sold for 30 years, it is the fourth largest known format).
Despite a sunstroke, the work is masterful and museum-like.
