If painting was not his main job (he was a civil servant at the State Railways), he was nevertheless a diligent artist and exhibitor of Salons, including that of Paris. His style, characteristic of the time, is made of a charcoal line on which come the touches of watercolor blending with each other. Originally from Haute-Garonne (Marignac-Laspeyre), he lived in Agen and Pau and, on the occasion of his death, a commemorative exhibition was organized in Parthenay where he is buried.
