"Pair Of Still Lifes - Oils On Copper XIXth Century"
Pair of still lifes painted on copper, representing for the first time, a piece of silverware in vermeil, surrounded by a lobster and shells on the one hand, and a bunch of grapes behind a bunch of strawberries on the other . The set rests on an entablature on which is the artist's monogram (TGP). The second represents a table top forming a cup receiving cherries, around which is a bouquet of roses on the left and right, a bird's nest containing eggs, towards which a chafer is directed. This scene is also based on an entablature which has the same monogram in its center. Dutch work, XIXth century. In a perfect state.
