This Empire centerpiece, made in France at the beginning of the 19th century, consists of a large vase in ground crystal resting on a cylindrical elevation with concave walls with a square base in gilded and chiselled bronze. The base has four feet with chiselled and gilded bronze lion foots. The vase and the base are two separable elements, joined by a golden bronze ring. The crystal has a refined and very elegant workmanship and the numerous geometric facets contribute, together with the brightness of the gold, to confer brilliance and brightness to the artifact.
Distinctly decorative, it can be used as a flower vase, as a centerpiece or can be placed on a chest of drawers, a console or a table, next to antique furniture or contemporary furniture.
