"assumption Of The Virgin": XIXth Dressed Painting

"Assumption of the Virgin" nineteenth painting cut and dressed approximately 63 X 35 cm, fixed in a hook on a background of red felt 74 X59 and mounted in a beautiful golden frame (small accidents) 82 X 66 cm including the glass, probably for reasons of weight has been replaced by a very striped plexiglass sheet, but which has the merit of protecting it.
This Virgin, a work of devotion probably offered to a priest, whose meticulous work in the embroidery of the dress and the coat, the puffy swelling of the bottom of the dress and the clouds, the use of gold threads and money indicate the value of this present. If the silk has fused in places, revealing the cotton fluff especially in the clouds, the set is nevertheless in good condition and can be hung as is.
