Oil on framed panel, by Louis Degallaix, animated Seine border. 34.5 X 39 and 19 x 23.5 cm at sight Louis Degallaix, born June 5, 1877 in Saint-Quentin (Aisne) and died April 23, 1951 in Paris, is a French painter. Pupil of Eugène Gillot, he obtained an honorable mention at the Salon of French artists in 1908 then a silver medal in 1937. He died on April 23, 1951 in the Bichat Hospital in the 18th arrondissement of Paris, and, is initially buried in the Cemetery of Saint Ouen (19th division) before being transferred a few months later to the cemetery of Montmartre (24th division)
