18th Century Wooden Sculpture, Rest Of The Little Shepherd Dozing With His Dog And Sheeps (signed; To Be Identified).

Beautiful 18th century sculpture create of wood, boxwood I think; a beautiful writing object certainly.

The large-scale object represents a little shepherd on a rocky mound, the little character of our charming bucolic scene, leaning against a gnarled trunk, has dozed off guarding his flock, he is accompanied by his dog and two sheep.
You will notice the two carved receptacles on both sides, they might have been used as an inkwell and / or receive small writing accessories.
The sculptural work of extreme finesse of detail is certainly the work of a renowned artist; the character, his dog, the sheep are masterfully restored. A trace of signature is clearly visible at the front of the terrace, on the right side (to be identified).
On the reverse side an annotation in pencil 18 Century and perhaps a name (Illegible for me).
It should be noted the lack of the ears of the sheep in the foreground and certainly the lid of a receptacle.
