Object description :

"Table Of Duettists Or Musicians By Georges Kintz"
Duettist table, in solid mahogany, opening with a zipper and a drawer on the front, as well as two doors on the top. These two doors each conceal a foldable music stand, which, once opened, rests on the compartment and thus allows the two musicians to face each other and practice their art. The base, nicely cut, is joined by a spacer bar and ends with four small brass shoes. Parisian work from the Louis XVI period, stamped Georges Kintz. Received master on December 18, 1776, he moved to rue du Faubourg Saint Antoine, then rue Daval. He produced fine quality Louis XVI furniture, mainly in mahogany, and some in rosewood marquetry. The ornamentation of his furniture is limited to simple moldings and hardly includes any bronzes, as is the case on our table. Length: 80 cm. Depth: 52 cm. Height: 72 cm.
