"Sèvres Biscuit Clock, Model Of The Château De Fontainebleau"
Rare and beautiful bisque porcelain clock from Sèvres entitled "the night", model of the Château de Fontainebleau with a variant at the base. Dial with Arabic numeral, front and rear bezels in chiseled bronze and gilded with mercury. Around 1780/1800 - end of the 18th century. Bibliography: model reproduced in Tardy La pendule Française 2nd part p.278. The whole is in an excellent state of conservation, the biscuit is superb and of great finesse, the movement has been completely disassembled and restored by a Master Watchmaker and the bronzes have been cleaned by a Master Bronzier.
