Watercolor by Ernest Guérin signed lower right and located in Audierne bay BRITTANY representing Breton characters on the beach, in the spray. Ernest Guérin, painter, watercolorist and illuminator was born in RENNES in 1887 and died in Quiberon in 1952. A student of Fine Arts at RENNES, he continued his training in PARIS. An original artist, he participated in many exhibitions, and his painting is marked by a late influence of the Pre-Raphaelite movement. At the end of his life, his aestheticism turns to a more Taoist vision of the pictorial universe, mixing small characters and oppressive horizons which occupy the entire composition. 20th century - Very good condition.
