He was so popular that he was depicted in various frescoes, including the Church of Santa Maria del Carmine. He was also represented in the Palazzo Medici-Riccardi, in the Church of Sant'Egidio and on medals. The bust was probably commissioned from Donatello after Uzzano's death by his property manager.
