"Neapolitan Santon Group Of Shoemakers Early 19th"
Group of Neapolitan santons, shoemakers at work, from the beginning of the 19th century. The heads, hands, feet and various decorative elements (bowl, soles ...) are in terracotta. The original papier maché and ploychrome leather clothes. Wooden base (fir) covered with cork. Very many elements creating life: one of them pulls the leather with his teeth while another converses happily, a young boy is listening sitting on a stool. On the central table are many tools treated with detail. Under the table, a scarf protrudes from a top hat. In a bowl are prepared two soles .... Good condition (some repairs of use), original polychromy.
