"Oils On Copper (pair Of)"
Street vendors form this interesting pair of anecdotal paintings. The painting although a little naive presents the portraits of small street trades. Note: the faces are very well treated and expressive. These seem to trade in winter; one sells bread, the other holding a flask, perhaps an apothecary ... Some scratches in the paint of one, for the "bread merchant" the metal plate is not quite to the dimensions of the frame. The whole, however, remains rigid. It is fortunate that they are still in this condition, which I qualify as good, given their age. Newer golden baguette frames, an original brass hanging ring on the top. Dimensions at sight: 21 X 26 cm. Delivery: 10 € for metropolitan France.
