"Original Drawing "naked""
Maurice Stoppani 1921-2014 has for decades confronted his expertise in the production of female nudes in front of mirrors. Small highly colored notations punctuate this interruption of the movement. Only in the silence of this false eternity, women, like the Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde, embody the human condition. Naked and proud women, with free forms, but with a free spirit. They bring their doubt, but also their healthy certainties. These are not women offered, but bodies embodied by a mind in motion, open to the flow of ideas. The Nude represents in the work of Maurice Stoppani a field of infinite investigations to which the artist constantly returns, in this daily journey to the studio.
