"Large Louis XIV Mirror With Pareclose In Golden Wood XVIIth"
Large mirror in gilded wood, Louis XIV - Regency period, early 18th century. It is with parecloses, double frame in carved gilded wood. The angles are decorated with large spandrels finely carved with foliage. The pediment, slightly inclined, is composed of a large carved shell framed by two detached garlands of roses and leaves of a beautiful effect. The mirrors of the glazing beads are original mercury, the central glass has been changed. The gilding remained original without intervention, a little patina but very beautiful. The base of the pediment shell has been restored, and reinforcements placed on the reverse. The back parquet is original, in good condition
