Victor CHARRETON studied law and was admitted to the Lyon Court of Appeal. He has been painting amateur since childhood and studies at Hareux and Japy in Lyon. But in 1902, Victor CHARRETON gave up his legal career to devote himself completely to painting, and moved to Paris, while joining the summer, his house near Clermont-Ferrand. He also travels a lot: Corsica, Algeria, Spain, England, Belgium, Holland, Germany. Victor CHARRETON led a life of esthete and man of culture, lover of poetry and music.
