"Landscape Signed Louis Guédy"
Landscape signed Louis Guédy (1847-1926) signed lower left, dated 1882. Born in Grenoble (Isère), pupil of Yvon at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris. He moved to Pau and opened his studio to the public. His works appear in many French museums (Musée de l'Armée in Paris, Hector Berlioz Museum in Côte-Saint-André, Grenoble Museum, Museum of Fine Arts in Chambéry) including a portrait of Corot kept at the Mainssieux Museum in Voiron.
