"Mahogany Commode Empire Period"
Empire period chest of drawers in mahogany and flamed mahogany veneer on an oak frame, opening with four drawers including one in the upper belt, three drawers with clover locks (key missing), uprights with detached columns. Beautiful ornamentation in gilded and finely chiseled bronze, rings and capitals adorn the columns, drawer knobs decorated with torches and quivers and magnificent keyholes. It is wearing an original veined white marble.
