"French Gilded Bronze Mantle Clock, Directoire, Depicting The Harvesting"
Particular and imposing French bronze clock depicting two farmers intent on sowing and harvesting wheat. The figure of her with the bare breasts gives the representation a note of sensuality and profanity at the same time, while she is intent on welcoming small birds among her clothes. From the top of the clouds a young putto watches the scene, with the male figure bent to work but who does not, however, take his eyes off the woman.
