"Painting Signed Louis Ridel"
From the early twentieth century, oil on canvas depicting a young woman taking a lascivious posture in a luxurious setting. Signed Louis Ridel: Louis Marie Joseph Ridel (Vannes 1866 / Paris1937) pupil of Delaunay and Gustave Moreau at the School of Fine Arts, he is also a medal engraver, sculptor and decorator. His works are exhibited at the Salon of French artists from 1893 to 1935, often rewarded and responding to many public commissions, we find his paintings exhibited in many museums both in France and abroad. Painting in very good condition (a small restoration is visible at the back of the painting), the ivory and gilded lacquered wood frame measures 85.5 cm x 70.5 cm.
