About ... TIMO SARPANEVA (1926-2006) Born in 1926 in Helsinki (Finland), he studied at the Higher School of Applied Arts. From 1950, he became designer and artistic advisor for Iittala and many factories, working with different materials: ceramics, wood, metal, textiles and glass. He won numerous distinctions and participated in the largest world exhibitions devoted to the art of glass.
