"Regency Style Painted Oak Presentation Buffet"
Regency style painted oak presentation sideboard. Mid-18th century period. It opens with four false-dormant doors, molded and carved with foliage. The uprights are cut sides and untrimmed with molded reserves. The cornice is in a gendarme's hat. The high crosspiece is also scoured from a reserve and carved with a shell, acanthus leaves and flowers. The sides are paneled. The low sideboard is decorated with a molded plinth. The interior consists of a shelf in the lower part and three scalloped shelves for the upper part. The exterior is painted in light gray with off-white trim.
